Source: Munich Redux: Germany’s Hot Spot of the Moment

The article describes rediscovery of attractive Munich. It starts with a vegan restaurant, which is located in center of Munich. It says Munich is quaint and it is Germany’s hot spot of the moment. Munich’s strong Bavarian identity and its Catholicism seems to rub the rest of the country the wrong way. Yet some see those attributes as an advantage because it’s so conservative, you can do what you want.

The certain way, of course, refers to Germany’s heavyweight champion of cool, Berlin. For years now Munich has been overshadowed by Berlin, the capital city and Germany’s heavyweight champion of cool. Munich is attractive for historical and good for living.

Munich has not exactly reinvented itself; that would mean a break with the past. Instead Munich has succeeded in by blending tradition with a new feel — epitomized by the city’s strengths in art and design.

I agree with the writer’s point that Munich is cool. Actually, I visited Munich with not that great expectation because I had thought that Munich is not attractive than other cities. But I was totally wrong. Munich was very nice city, its streets are full of music all days and nights thanks for street musicians. And every restaurant I visited has exciting air. If I got a chance to go to Europe again, I’ll not hesitate to go Munich or not.
